The tour is absolutely brilliant, but the real star of the tour was our guide. She was so knowledgeable kept the group informed for the whole duration. It should definitely be on your to do list when visiting Krakow. But I would advise that you.pre book your tickets or be prepared to be in for a long wait.

+1 more

Pre booked Skip the line tickets are an excellent way to save time and the hassle of queuing. We travelled to Wieliska by train from Krakov, frequent electric trains, cheap tickets and the train terminates at Wieliska. Pleasant little town for a wander and coffee in a square! The mine is close by and the tour was bery well organised. There is a lot of walking down stairs at the start and a good walk inside. The tunnels are incredible and open out into huge chambers in which there are churches! Return to the surface is by lift! An excellent experience, very informative and well worth a visit!

One must understand when one visits this memorial that it is visited by between 3000 and 6000 people per day. Extremely good logistics are needed to manage this! I think that this tour group managed it phenomenally well! Our guide (Suzana) was also extraordinary. She spoke with emotion and reverence. Highly recommended experience. For me it was lifechanging.

Absolutely amazing tour. The driver who picked us up and dropped us off was so friendly and welcoming then when we got to Auschwitz-Birkenau our tour was was so knowledgeable and went into such depth with everything. He took time to let us all take in what was surrounding us. Such a surreal experience for something so morbid. The knowledge we all have now of what happened there is fantastic. Couldn't fault the trip at all. 10/10. Thank you so much!!

Top things to do in Krakow

  • Ways to explore: Pick from skip-the-line entry, guided tours in several languages, or combo experiences that link the factory with other major WWII sites.
  • Additional access: Combos extend to the former Ghetto, Kazimierz district, Wawel Castle, Wieliczka Salt Mine, or Auschwitz-Birkenau for a broader historical lens.
  • Unique experiences: Pair the enamelware factory with a visit to the salt mine to experience two distinct aspects of Krakow's history: from salt-carved chapels and shimmering underground lakes to stories of wartime courage and survival.
  • Queues & access: Expect 30–60-minute waits at peak times; skip-the-line and guided tickets ensure entry under 10 minutes and smoother navigation.
  • When to book: Book 2–3 weeks ahead, especially for the Auschwitz combo, as seats and English-guided slots fill quickly.
  • Good to know: Tours last 1.5–9 hours depending on the experience chosen; all guided tours include local experts for deeper context.

Things to know before booking your Oskar Schindlers Factory tickets

  • Pre-booking is recommended: Schindler’s Factory is a popular site in Krakow, and guided tours often sell out. Booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance is highly recommended.
  • Standard ticket includes: Entry at your chosen time slot. View the permanent exhibition detailing life under Nazi occupation, wartime artifacts, and installations related to the factory’s operations and workers. Your exploration is self-guided, but possibly less immersive.
  • Opt for guided tours instead: Choose from guides who can speak English, German, Spanish, French, German, or Polish. They'll share less-obvious details, like the fact that Oskar Schindler wasn't always selfless, and his motivations were complex.
  • Combo tours for the extra edge: Deepen your understadning of WW2 history with combos to the Krakow Ghetto, the Kazimierz district, and Auschwitz-Birkenau. To explore different facets of Polish history, book combos with Wawel Castle or Wieliczka Salt Mine.
  • Transfers for combos: Round-trip transfers are included for most combo experiences, eliminating logistical worries and ensuring you can focus on the historical and cultural context. However, confirm if your ticket offers transfers before booking.
  • Closures and special dates: Guided tours do not operate on Mondays, the free-entry day. If you'd like to visit on a Monday, you still have to purchase a ticket, although the number of slots is limited. The site is closed on the first Tuesday of each month.
  • Timing & duration: Standard visits take around 1.5–2 hours. Combo tours may last a full day depending on additional sites and travel time between locations.
  • Accessibility & age considerations: The museum is generally accessible, but some exhibits include stairs or uneven flooring. Children under 14 years may find certain displays distressing due to sensitive content.
